La Iglesia de San Francisco en la Alameda de Colón celebró ayer el encuentro de muchos cristianos que se reunieron para cantar la llegada de la Luz.
Este mundo actual nuestro no es ni peor ni mejor que otros tantos anteriores, porque la humanidad cae siempre en los mismos errores y repite sus fracasos a pesar de que la mayoría ni lo desea ni lo busca.
Vivimos una época de cambios frenéticos donde la tecnología nos domina cada vez más y nos dejamos llevar por lo fácil, por lo efímero, perdiendo el valor de las pequeñas cosas, y no dando importancia a las que realmente importan: la honradez, la honestidad, el esfuerzo, la denuncia, el respeto por el otro y por la verdad y por la vida
La religión la podemos dejar para los que la aceptan, pero los valores humanos son innegociables. ¿Dónde están en nuestra sociedad el respeto, la responsabilidad, la solidaridad, el amor? ¿Dónde el trabajo público orientado al servicio de la sociedad y de los más débiles? ¿Dónde la justicia en la economía con salarios dignos y oportunidades para todos?
La celebración de la Resurrección del Salvador de los cristianos en la noche de ayer me pareció muy actual, muy de nuestros tiempos, con el sacerdote José Luis Guerra hablando de luz, de vida, de camino, de ponerse en marcha, de traer y llevar alegría y paz y amor.
Hablando de lo que hace falta en Ucrania, en Afganistán, en Irán, en todos los países con brutales dictadores.
Y más cerca hablando de Canarias, del paro, de la pobreza, de una economía sin futuro, de una esperanza secuestrada por los que mandan.
