Un mes después su sueño se ha cumplido y aquí dejo para el recuerdo las rutas y las visitas de esos cuatro días en la isla mágica......................... LLegamos a Lanzarote el jueves 19 y nos alojamos en una casa de Puerto Calero. Cumplimos el plan de visitas que llevábamos preparados desde el jueves hasta el domingo incluido. Rudi pudo conocer la vida y obra de César Manrique y con él las maravillas de la isla. Ver sus paisajes, sus monumentos, los centros turísticos y hablar con sus gentes.
Este reportaje de fotos y vídeos reflejará muy bien las emociones vividas.
We arrived in Lanzarote on Thursday 19th and stayed in a house in Puerto Calero. We fulfilled the plan of visits that we had prepared from Thursday until Sunday included. Rudi was able to get to know the life and work of César Manrique and with him the wonders of the island. See its landscapes, its monuments, its tourist centres and talk to its people.

Wir kamen am Donnerstag, den 19., auf Lanzarote an und wohnten in einem Haus in Puerto Calero. Wir erfüllten den Besuchsplan, den wir von Donnerstag bis einschließlich Sonntag vorbereitet hatten. Rudi konnte das Leben und die Arbeit von César Manrique und mit ihm die Wunder der Insel kennenlernen. 6.- CASA MUSEO DE HARIA, situada en medio del palmeral del pintoresco pueblo de Haría. César adoptó como su nueva casa una vivienda de labranza que se encontraba en ruinas. Aquí vivió hasta el año de su muerte en 1992...........located in the middle of the palm grove of the picturesque village of Haría. César adopted a ruined farmhouse as his new home. En el año 1991 tuvimos la suerte mi mujer y yo de acudir a la Fiesta de Cumpleaños de César. Al entrar de nuevo, treinta años después, me llegaron las emociones de aquella celebración. La sencillez del artista se reflejaba en los invitados: su familia, diez amigos y su gente conocida del pueblo de Haría. La personalidad de César desbordaba toda la casa, como cuando nos dijo a todos que le siguiéramos hacia el patio de entrada porque estaba a punto de salir el pan del horno......... In 1991 my wife and I were lucky enough to attend César's birthday party. Walking in again, thirty years later, the emotions of that celebration came back to me. The simplicity of the artist was reflected in the guests: his family, ten friends and his acquaintances from the village of Haría. César's personality overflowed the whole house, as when he told us all to follow him to the courtyard because the bread was about to come out of the oven.....................1991 hatten meine Frau und ich das Glück, an der Geburtstagsfeier von César teilzunehmen. Als ich dreißig Jahre später wieder hineinging, kamen mir die Emotionen dieser Feier wieder in den Sinn. Die Einfachheit des Künstlers spiegelte sich in den Gästen wider: seine Familie, zehn Freunde und Bekannte aus dem Dorf Haría. Césars Persönlichkeit durchströmte das ganze Haus, wie zum Beispiel, als er uns aufforderte, ihm in den Hof zu folgen, weil das Brot gleich aus dem Ofen käme.

7.- AHUMADERIA DE UGA. En el bonito pueblo de Uga se hace uno de los mejores salmones ahumados que se puedan encontrar. No tuvimos suerte: estaba cerrado y no pudimos comprar para cuatro vecinos de Campo de Golf..........SMOKERY OF UGA. In the pretty village of Uga they make some of the best smoked salmon you can find. We were unlucky: it was closed and we couldn't buy for four neighbours from Campo de Golf..................7.- RÄUCHEREI VON UGA. In dem hübschen Dorf Uga werden einige der besten Räucherlachse hergestellt, die man finden kann. Wir hatten Pech: Es war geschlossen und wir konnten nicht für vier Nachbarn vom Campo de Golf einkaufen.
8.- EL GOLFO es un pequeño pueblo en el borde natural del Parque de los Volcanes. En el Charco de los Clicos se encuentra el Lago Verde, que surge por la filtración del mar a través de las cenizas volcánicas. La alta concentración de azufre le da ese color verde......................is a small village on the natural edge of the Volcano Park. In the Charco de los Clicos is the Lago Verde, which is formed by the seepage of the sea through the volcanic ash. The high concentration of sulphur gives it its green colour.......................EL GOLFO ist ein kleines Dorf am natürlichen Rande des Parque de los Volcanes. Im Charco de los Clicos befindet sich der Lago Verde (Grüner See), der durch das Versickern des Meeres durch die Vulkanasche entstanden ist. Die hohe Konzentration an Schwefel verleiht ihm seine grüne Farbe.
9.- MONTAÑAS DEL FUEGO - Timanfaya. Son el resultado de las erupciones en Lanzarote durante seis años, entre 1730 y 1736. Todo un espectáculo de cráteres rojos, coladas de lava y paisajes lunares. Impresionado ante la belleza del paisake César Manrique ideó la Ruta de los Volcanes. A continuación pueden ver un video hecho desde la guagua que nos trasladó a este impactante lugar..........They are the result of the eruptions in Lanzarote during six years, between 1730 and 1736. 10.- LA GERIA. El paisaje volcánico ha sido aprovechado para la plantación de videspara la producción de vino, especialemente la variedad Malvasia. La forma de los hoyos y sus paredes protegen a los cultivos del viento. ................The volcanic landscape has been used for planting vines for wine production, especially the Malvasia variety. The shape of the pits and their walls protect the crops from the wind. .....................10.- LA GERIA. Die vulkanische Landschaft wurde für die Anpflanzung von Rebstöcken für die Weinproduktion genutzt, insbesondere für die Sorte Malvasia. Die Form der Gruben und ihre Wände schützen die Pflanzen vor dem Wind.
