EL SUR DE GRAN CANARIA: Corrupción organizada y vitalicia, ahora en contra de los propietarios individuales. Organised and lifelong corruption against individual owners.

El responsable de la Federación de Empresarios de Hostelería y Turismo de Gran Canaria decía en junio de 2022 que “la calidad del turismo en el sur de Gran Canaria se resiente cada año por la falta de unidad de criterio entre las administraciones y las formaciones políticas”. Un año después en un video dice que “los últimos propietarios que han llegado a sus apartamentos en el sur son los que más creen que pueden hacer lo que les dan la gana, no respetan ni al vecino ni a la ley.”

En la revista Maspalomas24horas.com del 11.04.2023 leo un artículo firmado por Dácil Santana que dice :

“La mayor parte de los propietarios son herederos de funcionarios franquistas de la Falange o que compraron al hilo de los precios hundidos tras el pinchazo de la burbuja de 2008.” “El problema de los residentes en el sur de Gran Canaria a juicio de propietarios que explotan grandes unidades es que vulgarizan el destino y tampoco lo defienden porque sus urbanizaciones están hechas un asco y han generado un efecto arrastre en los centros comerciales próximos”.

Para estas dos personas los responsables de la mala calidad turística son los propietarios de los apartamentos, generalizando conductas individuales que seguros que las hay, y demonizando a muchísimos canarios que invirtieron su dinero para que los empresarios del sur de Gran Canaria pudiesen hacer negocio.

El Sr. Tom Smulders y la señora o señorita Dácil Santana falsean la historia e insultan a miles de canarios que han depositado su confianza en los empresarios del sur para que pudiesen hacer negocio. La afirmación de que la mayor parte de los propietarios son herederos de franquistas de la falange es lo más falaz que he leído en los últimos años, y deja en evidencia todo el resto del escrito por torpeza intelectual.

El objetivo de todas estas declaraciones, y de las denuncias contra los propietarios de los apartamentos, es esconder los verdaderos problemas del Turismo en Canarias, y particularmente en nuestro sur de Gran Canaria.

El dinero rápido y fácil propició el modelo turístico de masas, de sol y de playa, de bocadillos y de juergas por las noches. En los años sesenta en Gran Canaria la destrucción de los Puentes de Piedra y de Palo, del entorno de Vegueta y del Barranco de Guiniguada, y la construcción en altura del enorme litoral de la parte baja de la ciudad fue un error manifiesto. Fue el principio del beneficio rápido y fácil, que condicionó todo el turismo de los años siguientes. Los resultados de las empresas se condicionaron a la cantidad de turista, mientras más mejor, quedando el 75% del gasto turístico en los tour operadores externos, y el raquítico 25% para el beneficio y mantenimiento de las empresas turísticas.

Deterioro del paisaje y del terreno, consumo de las riquezas naturales, malos sueldos para los canarios, servicios de pésima calidad y necesidad cada año de subir el número de turistas para seguir llenando apartamentos, hoteles y playas.

Toda esta parafernalia montada sobre un negocio ruinoso para Canarias ha estado adornada durante más de cincuenta años con una tremenda corrupción de políticos y de empresarios. Corrupción imparable, vitalicia para todos los sinvergüenzas que siguen viviendo, hoy como ayer, de la gente más desfavorecida.

Todo para ocultar apropiaciones indebidas de empresarios sin escrúpulos que se quedaron para su beneficio con terrenos diseñados para el uso y beneficio público, con la mirada a otra parte de funcionarios y políticos.

Y para esconder toda esta basura atacan a los propietarios de los apartamentos. Propietarios franquistas dixit.

The head of the Federation of Hotel and Tourism Businessmen of Gran Canaria said in June 2022 that «the quality of tourism in the south of Gran Canaria suffers every year due to the lack of unity of criteria between the administrations and the political formations». A year later in a video he says that «the last owners who have arrived to their flats in the south are the ones who think they can do whatever they want, they don’t respect the neighbours or the law».

In the magazine Maspalomas24horas.com of 11.04.2023 I read an article signed by Dácil Santana which says :
«Most of the owners are heirs of Francoist officials of the Falange or who bought on the back of the collapsed prices after the bubble burst in 2008.» «The problem of the residents in the south of Gran Canaria in the opinion of owners who exploit large units is that they vulgarise the destination and do not defend it either because their urbanisations are in a mess and have generated a knock-on effect on the nearby shopping centres.»

For these two people, the ones responsible for the poor quality of tourism are the owners of the flats, generalising individual behaviour, which I am sure there is, and demonising many Canary Islanders who invested their money so that the businessmen in the south of Gran Canaria could do business.

Mr. Tom Smulders and Mrs. or Miss Dácil Santana are falsifying history and insulting thousands of Canary Islanders who have put their trust in the entrepreneurs of the south so that they could do business. The assertion that most of the owners are heirs of Francoists of the Falange is the most fallacious thing I have read in recent years, and leaves the rest of the writing in evidence by intellectual clumsiness.

The aim of all these statements, and of the complaints against the owners of the flats, is to hide the real problems of tourism in the Canary Islands, and particularly in the south of Gran Canaria.

Quick and easy money has favoured the mass tourism model of sun and beach, sandwiches and nightlife. In Gran Canaria, the destruction of the Puente de Piedra and Puente de Palo bridges, the area around Vegueta and the Barranco de Guiniguada, and the construction of the huge high rise coastline in the lower part of the city was a manifest mistake. It was the beginning of quick and easy profit, which conditioned all tourism in the following years. The results of the companies were conditioned by the number of tourists, the more the better, leaving 75% of the tourist expenditure for the external tour operators, and a meagre 25% for the profit and maintenance of the tourist companies.

Deterioration of the landscape and the land, consumption of natural resources, poor wages for the Canary Islanders, poor quality services and the need every year to increase the number of tourists in order to continue filling flats, hotels and beaches.

All this paraphernalia mounted on a ruinous business for the Canary Islands has been adorned for more than fifty years with a tremendous corruption of politicians and businessmen. Unstoppable corruption, for life for all the scoundrels who continue to live, today as yesterday, from the most disadvantaged people.

All to hide the misappropriations of unscrupulous businessmen who kept for their own profit land designed for public use and benefit, with officials and politicians looking the other way.

And to hide all this rubbish they attack the owners of the flats. Francoist owners dixit.
